Mistfall Hunter Known Issues & Launch Fix Status
A source-labeled status page for Mistfall Hunter launch performance work, crash fixes, reconnect bugs, Quick Buy issues, and other officially documented fixes.
Bellring Games publicly acknowledged serious stuttering, crash, and stability problems during the final pre-launch testing period, then documented a set of performance changes and bug fixes for the official launch. This page separates items the developers said were fixed or addressed from problems that should not be assumed to be currently active. It does not turn community reports into confirmed known issues unless an official source also documents them.

Official source ↗Stuttering and Shader Compilation
Performance was one of the most prominent concerns coming out of the June playtest. In the final pre-launch developer update, Bellring Games said it had resolved loading stutters caused by Unreal Engine shader precompilation, specifically targeting hitches when models and visual effects appear for the first time.
The team also described device-tiered graphics defaults and dedicated tuning for consoles and lower-end PCs.
That does not prove that every player will be completely stutter-free. Hardware, drivers, network conditions, and later game updates can change the experience. What is verified is that these areas were explicitly targeted and reported as addressed before launch.
Crash Fixes Documented for Launch
The official launch announcement says the team fixed a series of random crash bugs, including crashes tied to:
- map vegetation animations
- AMD graphics-card hair rendering
Earlier test updates also documented freezes and crashes under specific conditions. This page keeps those older test issues separate from the launch status so a beta bug is not automatically presented as a current production bug.
Quick Buy and Marketplace Problems
Bellring Games listed a fix for Quick Buy frequently failing. The official note also included a caveat: if item prices are changing rapidly, another attempt may still be needed.
That makes "Quick Buy is completely broken" too strong as a current statement. The accurate launch status is that the frequent failure mode was targeted with a fix, while real-time price changes can still affect a purchase attempt.
Reconnect, Login, and Session-Start Fixes
The launch notes also list fixes for several issues that could block players from getting into or back into a match:
- a stage-selection error that could prevent a game from starting
- a login failure caused by data overflow when an account had too many Xbox friends
- an occasional reconnect block after disconnecting during a loading screen
If you are troubleshooting one of these today, first make sure the client is fully updated. Older beta-era workarounds may no longer match the launch build.
What Counts as a "Known Issue" on This Page?
GameTrendDesk uses three labels:
- Officially acknowledged: Bellring Games says the problem exists or is being investigated.
- Officially fixed/addressed: Bellring Games says a fix or optimization shipped.
- Unconfirmed report: players may be discussing it, but the selected official sources do not confirm the status.
This prevents a common problem with new-game guides: copying a launch-day Reddit or Steam post into a permanent article and leaving it labeled as current weeks later.
Basic PC Checks Before Reporting a Performance Problem
The Steam store currently recommends an SSD and lists broadband internet as required. It also publishes minimum and recommended PC specifications. If you are below the listed hardware baseline, that context matters when diagnosing performance.
This article intentionally does not publish made-up "best settings" or FPS benchmark numbers because those require actual hardware testing.
Frequently asked questions
Did Bellring Games fix shader stutter before launch?
The final pre-launch developer update says loading stutters caused by Unreal Engine shader precompilation were resolved/minimized. That is an official developer claim, not an independent benchmark result.
Are AMD crashes fixed?
The launch announcement specifically says random crash bugs involving AMD graphics-card hair rendering were fixed. That does not guarantee there can never be another AMD-specific problem in a later build.
Is Quick Buy still broken?
The developer listed the frequent Quick Buy failure as fixed, with a note that fast-changing marketplace prices may still make another attempt necessary.
Does this page list every player-reported bug?
No. It only promotes an issue to confirmed status when an official source supports it.
How often should this page be updated?
After any official patch or developer post that changes the status of performance, crash, login, reconnect, or controller issues.
